Meet our authors and win a Growing Faith book pack!

Discover what motivates the people behind the stories.

When you’re reading a story with your kids, how often do you stop and think about who wrote it, what kind of groundwork was involved, or who crafted the marvellous illustrations? Do you enjoy digging deeper to understand a story’s core theme or message?

Each of our Growing Faith children’s book authors and illustrators had different ideas and great Biblical truths or themes in mind when they wrote their stories; applicable to children in different age categories and from a variety of backgrounds.

And to celebrate their work, during the month of May, we’re going deep into the creative minds and pages of our very own authors to acknowledge and properly introduce you to their work. Keep your eye on our Growing Faith Facebook page for our exclusive Author Spotlight videos to find out more.

We're also giving your kids a chance to win one of two Growing Faith book packs (see below for more).

Mark Hadley

Our first author, Mark Hadley, is a professional writer and communicator with over 25 years of experience. Mark is a regular on the national radio program Open House and a columnist for sixteen Christian publications across Australia. Recently, Mark has enjoyed writing film reviews, television programs and children’s books.

Mark and his wife Maia live in Sydney with their three young boys. As a father, Mark strives to write children’s books that speak to kids' emotional needs.

His first book, Panda: Home is about what it means to belong, and his second book, Panda: Friends, questions the true nature of friendship. What do good friends look like and how do they differ from bad friends? His most recent book, The Word War, encourages children aged 4–8 to use words to build and sustain relationships rather than to tear one another down. This book is a practical tool for teaching children about the power of our words and the significance of forgiveness.
